1. General setup
# 2. Audio setup
6 outputs (6 Loudspeakers on stands (4 if not possible)):
The setup consists in in sending audio FX in the 6 loudspeakers (see routing below) and 1 channel output for ear-monitoring (click-track) : 1 ear-monitor (if the piece is conducted) / 4 ear-monitors (if the piece is not conducted) - if possible, give priority to ear-monitors that use technology of effect of bone conduction
See technical doc attached for microphone references detail
3. Loudspeaker setup
If you only have 4 loudpeakers, send 5/6 in 1/2.
As far as possible, the instruments will be amplified but if the acoustic of the hall is sufficiently precise and brilliant, the instruments may be played without amplification.
4. Software installation
o Download, the main project
o Open Dawnlight-non-realtime-simplified-V3.als project with Live 11.3.13 (if needed, V2 has been saved under Live 11 11.0.1)
a) Routing in Ableton
o Channels number in the Live project corresponds to the loudspeakers indexes. Check your output routing in Live settings depending on your hardware.
b) DSP Status Options
o Depending on your hardware
o 48 kHz
5. System calibration and tests
The “INSTRU” group is a set of simulation group and SHALL BE MUTED for the actual performance. It has been done in studio by Ensemble Cairn. Those tracks HAVE NOT to be played it’s just an indication for synchronization.
