Instructions

Audio setup

ADC:

  • 1 : mezzo soprano microphone

DAC:

  • (1-2) : transformations -->HP1-2
  • (3) : cristal baschet samples -->HP2 (if the instrument is not played live)
  • (4) : unused
  • (5-6): dtd ("bande") -->HP3-4 (-8dB)
  • (7-8) : reverb output --> HP1 à 4

Loudspeaker setup


Midi setup

Connect the footswitch pedal to the midi interface

Software installation

  • Give at least 10 Mo of RAM to MaxMsp
  • Start MAXMSP 4.1
  • Set MAX "files preferences" to "ALMA2003"
  • Open the "AlmaLuvia" patch
  • Switch the dsp on
  • init (press the "initialisation" bang)

System calibration and tests

General Level Setup

The general level of the event 1.1 should be fff ! (almost as loud as possible)

Input level calibration

On the next event (1.2), when the mezzo-soprano sings FF the level indicated on the main patch should not be above 75.

Check footswitch :

When the conductor (or singer) presses the pedal, the patch advances to the next event
