Program note

La Symphonie de chambre op. 2, est une pièce ambitieuse, imaginative, utilisant des procédés techniques très complexes. Elle contient des éléments que Thomas Adès emploiera dans des œuvres ultérieures, plus lyriques, avec des rythmes de tango, des sons de cors évoquant un monde féerique et des sonorités délicates et singulières qui se mélangent avec des couleurs plus traditionnelles.
