We present GRM Tools Atelier, the new line of audio tools from INA GRM, continuing a development program initiated in 1990 by Hugues Vinet. Atelier is a complete real-time, multichannel sound processing and synthesis environment, designed as a workbench for instrument creation. Its interface makes it usable both in live conditions and as a sound material generator for sound design and generative composition. After a historical overview and a detailed presentation of the tool and its principles, we will focus on one of its main technical innovation: its advanced modulation system.
