Yaou Xie

Née en Chine du Sud, la pianiste Yaou Xie a poursuivi ses études pianistiques à Pékin, puis à Shanghai, où elle bénéficia également d´une formation de chef d´orchestre. En Europe, Xie Ya-ou a étudié à Stuttgart, auprès de Wan-Ing Ong; à Berlin, auprès de Hans Leygraf et de Pascal Devoyon; à Paris, auprès de Pierre-Laurent Aimard. L'enseignement de Claude Helffer lui procura un grand élan sur le plan artistique. Elle bénéficia également de master classes auprès d´artistes de grande renommée, parmi lesquels figurent Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Leon Fleisher, Dmitri Bashkirov, John Perry, Alicia de Larrocha, Fu T'song et travaillé avec des compositeurs réputés: Helmut Lachenmann,George Crumb, Qigang Chen, Xiaoyong hen, et Xiaosong Qu. Lauréate du Concours Olivier Messiaen et du Concours d’Orléans, elle s’est produite avec des formations internationales (Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre National de Pékin, Orchestre National de Taïwan, Orchestre Symphonique de Berlin, etc.) Elle a également participé à la Semaine Gaudeamus d’Amsterdam et au Festival de l’Orangerie de Sceaux. Yaou Xie a signé un enregistrement CD d’oeuvres de Debussy, Schoenberg, Schulhoff et Messiaen. Pianist Yaou Xie, born in southwestern China, she has studied in Stuttgart with Wang-Ing Ong, in Berlin with Hans Leygraf and Pascal Devoyon, and in Paris with Pierre-Laurent Aimard as a soloist she has appeared with major orchestras, including the National Orchestra Lille, China National Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra Taiwan, Radio Orchestra Shanghai and Sinfonie Orchester Berlin. After having won important prizes at the Orleans Concours XXe Siecle, Concours Messiaen and Concorso Premio Jaen, she has been a guest performer at numerous festival, such as Gaudeamus Music Week in Amsterdam and Festival Orangerie de Sceaux in France. Important influences in Ms. Xie's artistic development have been her studies with Claude Helffer and her participation in master classes given by Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Alicia de Larrocha and Leon Fleischer.. She has worked personally with composers such as George Crumb, Qigang Chen and Helmut Lachenmann. She has frequently given the premier and the first performance of the works of these and other contemporary composers.
