Digital technologies question what a society witnesses: what do we collect and index, objects or their context? Or traces of their use? The banality of conversations or the production of institutions? We will see, through several examples—both scholarly and artistic—how sources change state passing from a published book to raw material to be processed. Beginning with objects that are the basis of future knowledge, multifaceted, not structural but heterodox.
